Product Introduction

This fire protection flange rising stem gate valve is a key control component designed specifically for fire fighting water supply systems. Adopting an outside screw and yoke (OS&Y) structure, the valve stem clearly rises or retracts with operation, allowing direct visual identification of valve open or closed status to meet strict fire safety inspection requirements. It features a flange connection for convenient installation and stable connection, suitable for a full range of pipe sizes commonly used in fire systems.
Made of high-strength ductile iron with epoxy coating, the valve body provides excellent pressure resistance and corrosion protection. The gate is fully encapsulated with high-performance rubber to ensure bubble-tight sealing and zero leakage. With reliable performance under rated pressure and temperature, this valve is widely applied in fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant networks, fire pump rooms and building fire risers, delivering stable on-off control for emergency fire water supply.
Design Features
Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) Rising Stem Design: The stem rises when the valve is open and lowers when closed, providing clear visual indication of the valve's on-off status. This design allows fire safety inspectors to quickly confirm the valve's working condition, meeting the strict requirements of fire protection system inspections.
• Standard Flange Connection: Adopts international standard flange design (PN10/PN16, ANSI B16.5), ensuring quick and stable installation with fire protection pipelines. The bolted flange connection enhances sealing performance and avoids leakage, suitable for various pipe sizes from DN50 to DN400.
• Reliable Bubble-Tight Sealing: The gate is fully encapsulated with high-quality EPDM rubber, which is vulcanized integrally with the ductile iron gate. This structure ensures zero leakage in the fully closed state, effectively preventing fire water loss and ensuring the stability of the fire water supply system.
• Corrosion-Resistant Structure: The valve body and bonnet are made of high-strength ductile iron (GGG50) with an epoxy coating inside and outside, which can effectively resist corrosion from fire water and humid environments. The stem is made of 304/316 stainless steel, avoiding rust and ensuring smooth operation for a long time.

Performance Advantages
Superior Fire Safety Performance: Complies with international fire protection standards (UL, FM, GB 5135.1) and is specially optimized for fire water supply systems, ensuring stable and reliable operation in emergency fire situations, without failure or leakage.
• Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The valve body is made of high-strength ductile iron with internal and external epoxy coating, and the stem adopts 304/316 stainless steel, which can effectively resist corrosion, rust and wear in long-term wet environments, extending the service life of the valve.
• Bubble-Tight Shutoff Performance: The gate is fully encapsulated with high-quality EPDM rubber, which realizes integral vulcanization with the gate, ensuring zero leakage when fully closed, avoiding fire water loss and ensuring the stability of the fire water supply pipeline.
• Low Pressure Loss & High Flow Capacity: The full-flow design ensures unobstructed water flow when the valve is fully open, minimizing pressure loss, allowing rapid and sufficient fire water supply, and meeting the emergency water demand of fire protection systems.
• Easy Operation & Low Maintenance Cost: The manual handwheel design is labor-saving and smooth, and the bolted bonnet structure allows on-site maintenance, packing replacement and other operations without disassembling the valve from the pipeline, reducing maintenance time and cost.
Installation & Maintenance
Standard Installation Requirements: The valve shall be installed horizontally with the stem in vertical upward position. It is forbidden to install the valve upside down or sideways to avoid affecting visual indication and normal operation. Align the flange interface with the pipeline strictly, install bolts evenly, and ensure firm connection and uniform sealing force to prevent interface leakage.
• Correct Operation Guidelines: Operate only through the handwheel. Turn clockwise to close and counterclockwise to open. Do not use wrenches, levers or other tools for forced operation to avoid damaging the handwheel, stem and internal sealing components. Always keep the valve fully open or fully closed; throttling use is prohibited.
• Regular Inspection: Conduct periodic visual checks of the rising stem status to confirm the valve's open/closed state is consistent with system requirements. Inspect flange connections and sealing parts for water leakage, rust or damage. Check the flexibility of stem movement regularly to ensure no jamming during operation.
• Daily Maintenance: Keep the valve surface and stem clean and dry, and apply appropriate lubricant to the stem and transmission parts regularly to ensure flexible operation. For long-term opened valves, perform opening and closing tests quarterly to prevent sealing adhesion and failure caused by long-term static placement.
